A Little About the Trumpeter Inn and Your Hosts

Hi! We're Claudia and Tyrone Wilkinson. In 2021, we (and our two pups) spent a few months exploring the country, looking for the perfect place to call home. We knew San Juan Island was the place the minute we got off the ferry, and we've never looked back. We purchased the Trumpeter Inn Bed and Breakfast shortly after arriving here. We hope that, when you stay with us, you experience the same fascination with this iconic island that we've experienced.

The Inn

The Trumpeter Inn Bed and Breakfast, named after the the Trumpeter swans that winter nearby, was originally established in 1989. Located on beautiful San Juan Island, our inn is situated on five pristine acres right outside Friday Harbor. Our property is known for it's excellent views of the Olympic Mountains. And, we're only a couple of miles from the Ferry Terminal.

Your Hosts

Claudia has a BA in Recreation and Tourism with an emphasis in Ecotourism from San Francisco State University. Over the past seven years she has worked in some of the best restaurants in the San Francisco Bay Area, including working as a dining room manager at a prestigious Michelin star restaurant. Tyrone co-owns a construction company called San Juan Island Builders. Free time is spent working on improving the Trumpeter Inn, hiking on San Juan Island, and traveling. Sveva is SJI's tiniest inn keeper. She enjoys checking guests in, eating Claudia's homemade cookies and feeding the boys (alpacas+goats).
